In the following article from Bloomberg News you see yet another example of exchange mergers leading us to the complex of interconnected global markets needed for trading fungibility. In this case, the exchanges involved are creating a venue for large block trading to compete with the dark pools that have captured a significant portion of institutional large block order flow. This venture will integrate block size trading back into the mix of industry regulars whose trading activity greases the wheel of liquidity.
